As a not-for-profit organisation the Shepparton Art Museum relies upon the generosity of supporters and passionate art enthusiasts. You can help us to continue to develop high quality exhibitions with public and educational programs that contribute to national and international scholarship.
These are the ways you can help us to grow the collection:
Become a Donor
Donors contribute cash amounts for the development of the collection and for specific acquisitions, programs or capital works.
If you are interested in becoming a Donor please contact the SAM Director on (03) 5832 9517.
Gifts of Artwork
The Shepparton Art Museum collection grows through the generous bequest of artworks. Acquisition is not automatic and is governed by an acquisition policy which aims to ensure the collection develops strategically.
Gifts of artwork can be made through the Federal Government Deductible Gift Recipient Scheme. Information about the scheme is available at http://www.arts.gov.au/tax_incentives/cgp.
The SAM Foundation is a company limited by guarantee and its purpose is to undertake a significant capital drive for a new expanded Art Museum and to grow funds to benefit the SAM collection and program.
The SAM Foundation has deductible gift recipient status which provides opportunity for SAM in generating greater philanthropic giving and thereby increasing its capacity to exhibit greater quality works. It is a repository for gifts and bequests made for the long-term benefit of SAM and the broader community.
